Download Recap
Two pieces: the app that records and clips, and a small connector that tells it when you entered and exited. Most traders want both.
1. The app
Download the Recap installer (.exe)
Run the installer, then sign in with Google or an emailed code. Recap creates your account automatically if you don’t have one — see Signing in to Recap.

2. Your platform connector
Recap records your screens on its own. The connector is what turns that footage into a labeled clip per trade — it watches your fills and hands them over, so you don’t have to mark anything yourself.
Pick the one for the platform you trade:
Sierra Chart
RecapSidecar.dll — goes in Sierra Chart's Data folder
Beta connections
- Quantower and ATAS X appear in Recap with a Beta badge. Until a connector artifact is published, its card reads coming soon instead of offering a download. See the Quantower setup steps or ATAS X setup steps.
- Tradovate has no connector file to download. Link your account from its card in Integrations; see the Tradovate setup steps.
Recap keeps connectors up to date itself: the Integrations tab shows the version you have and fetches the latest, and an Update sidecar pill appears in the top bar when a newer one is out. The downloads above are for your first install.

Trading somewhere else?
Stable connectors exist for Sierra Chart, NinjaTrader, and MotiveWave. Quantower and ATAS X connectors are in beta, along with the direct Tradovate account connection. If you trade elsewhere, the recorder still works — you just won’t get automatic per-trade clips. Tell us which platform you’d like, from Settings → Suggest a feature in the app or at [email protected].
