Nothing to install. Your Tradovate fills, on film.
Every other Recap connection lives inside a charting platform. Tradovate is different: Recap links to your account itself, so it hears fills from whichever front-end you trade through. Go flat, and Recap can place a labeled clip of your actual screens in your Library seconds later, without a separate clip hotkey.

Connect your account
In Recap’s Integrations tab, pick Demo or Live on the Tradovate card and click Connect Tradovate. Your browser opens Tradovate’s own sign-in page. You sign in there; Recap never sees your password.
Pick what to capture
Tick the accounts to capture, then turn on Capture Tradovate fills while recording. Both start off, and the card tells you plainly while either is missing.
That’s the whole workflow
Press Start recording, trade like normal. When a position goes flat, a labeled clip appears in your Library within a few seconds. Try a few round trips on a demo account first and watch them land.
Recap only holds a Tradovate session while you’re recording. Fills are handed to Recap on your own machine — nothing leaves your computer. Full steps live in Getting trades in.

Is the Tradovate connection stable?
It is in beta. Sign-in and demo capture are proven; live-account capture has not been through many hands yet. Recap says so in the app and asks you to report anything that doesn’t line up — [email protected].
Why do Peak and Heat need a market-data subscription?
Fills come from your account connection. The high and low the market traded during a hold come from market data, which needs its own subscription on your Tradovate account. Without one, fills and clips are unaffected; only Peak · MFE and Heat · MAE stay absent, and the card says why.
I also run the NinjaTrader connector. Will fills arrive twice?
They will if the same account is ticked in both places. If the NinjaTrader connector already covers an account, leave it unticked here — otherwise every fill arrives twice and counts as two trades.
Which Tradovate front-ends does this cover?
All of them. Because Recap listens to the account rather than a platform, it doesn’t matter whether you clicked in Tradovate’s own app, a web trader, or another front-end connected to the same account. Recap records whatever screens you tell it to and labels the clip from the fill.
Can Recap place, change, or cancel orders?
No. Access is read-only: Recap can see accounts and fills and nothing else. There is no order-placement path anywhere in the app.
Where is my sign-in kept?
Tradovate hands Recap a token after you sign in on Tradovate’s page. Recap keeps it in the Windows Credential Manager, not in a file, and never sees or stores your password. Disconnect Tradovate forgets it on this computer; to revoke Recap entirely, remove it in your Tradovate account settings.
I trade a funded account through Tradovate. Where does the footage go?
Nowhere. Recordings, clips, and notes exist only on your machine. No cloud, no uploads. Clips are ordinary local video files.
Recap keeps getting signed out mid-session. Why?
Tradovate allows two simultaneous sessions per login. If another device is holding one, Recap stops capture and says so. Close Tradovate on your other devices, then start recording again.
Demo or Live?
Pick the environment your accounts live on. The picker locks while connected; to switch, disconnect first. If you pick the wrong one, the account list notices and tells you which environment your accounts are actually on.
