The marker hotkey is yours to change: Settings → Markers lets you rebind it (any combo with Ctrl/Alt/Shift, or a bare function key) or Clear it to disable — see Settings.
On the Review screen, playback keys stay out of your way while you type — they never fire inside a notes field. The same is true of
Ctrl+Shift+Sin the Library: it does nothing while your cursor is in a search or filter field.
