Install Recap

Recap is a Windows desktop app. Installing takes about a minute.

Install

  1. Run the Recap installer — a standard Windows .exe setup file, on the download page along with the connectors. You get that link when you start your free trial.
  2. Launch Recap when it finishes. (The installer isn’t code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen warns about an unknown publisher the first time — choose More info → Run anyway. Our certificate is in progress and will be in place before public release.)
  3. Sign in with Google or an emailed sign-in code — see Signing in to Recap.

That’s it. Recap keeps your recordings, clips, and settings under %LOCALAPPDATA%\Recap\.

Connect your trading platform

To turn your trades into clips, install the connector for your platform. Grab it from the download page, then follow Connect your platform for the setup steps.

Staying up to date

Updates are delivered automatically, in‑app: Recap downloads and installs new versions for you, so you’re always on the latest build. See Updates.
